The scenes take place in a living room, hallway, kitchen and bedroom of a house and a bar scene.

It is the story of Robert, who enters the lives of Monty and Jeff. Robert is guided there by a force that he imagines to be coming from an elderly lady who is an astrologer in the daily tabloid paper.

Monty and Jeff live a bleak, detached life together, rarely venturing from their house. The living room of the house that they live in is used as a courtroom for Monty from where he views life, exhibits his frustrations and forces his confused opinions upon Jeff who lives in fear of Monty. For the first time in his life, Monty feels that he has found a friend when meeting Robert, and also a person Monty believes that he can dominate and be responsible for. The short time that the three of them live together is ended as Robert carries out what he believes are the orders from the astrologer.

The time is the present.
