The story gives an insight into the world of Voice-Over – something not really thought about by people as they go about their daily lives, yet is a medium that is everywhere in our modern world.

Voice Over Man is the darkly comic story of Johnny Deus, real name, Geoffrey Gawsworth who is now in his late forties. Johnny’s skills and versatility have led him to become one of the country’s foremost voice-over artists. We meet Johnny just as things in his world are beginning to change.

Johnny’s position of leading voice-over man is threatened by an influx of actors who see voice-over work as enhancing their careers. There is also competition coming from those in the ranks of the many reality TV celebrity stars keen to cash in on their popular status.
